Honestly, I am just “giving thanks” I got this card done. This was another travel week for work and I came home today and went right to work on this to meet the deadline. I am so proud of myself! I made a personal goal of keeping up with a weekly challenge and I have been hanging in there with the Global Design Project. It is a lot of fun! Check out what they are doing over there at Global-Design-Project.com. There are some really great cards using this week’s theme.
This week’s card had a template designed by Teneale Williams, the “Down Under Stampin’ Wonder” we all follow! I love her work and I love this challenge. I was determined to do a fall/Thanksgiving themed card and had in my head what I wanted to do and this is pretty much what I had in mind. Initially I was going to do a card front with inches. But that was a little ambitious for someone who caught a 6:00AM flight from LAX this morning. This was simple and I like how the wood pieces came together.
I enjoy following a template more than I thought I would. It really does make it a challenge because this is not a style of card making I would normally do. So, making me think outside my comfort zone has been the best thing about doing this challenge.
I hope everyone is having a blast at On Stage Live or Local, whichever event you are attending! Safe travels and have fun!
