Today’s card is my entry for this weeks Global Design Project #GDP024, Case the Designer. We are casing a card designed by Michelle Last that you can see HERE! It feature the “Apple of My Eye” stamp set from the Occasions catalog.
I started out wanting to feature the cherries stamps from this set. But the cherries are not bold enough to stand out with all this print on the card. And I was determined to use this DSP! And I was determined to make this a shaker card. The sentiment “Apple of My Eye” from the set turned out to be perfect and was bold enough to work as a shaker card and to stand out from the patterned DSP. The sequins are leftovers from a Paper Pumpkin kit. I always have some goodies left over from the kits and they are great to have around!
For some reason, when the card was finished, I just felt compelled to add a tiny white bow. I don’t think you have to have it, but adding it made me really happy. And sometimes you just have to go with that.
I encourage you to go and look at all the other designs in this week’s challenge! Just click on the icon below to see what everyone is doing this week!
