Delightful Dijon was the color of the day for this card. And the pink ribbon was just an afterthought. With the sentiment “hope”, I thought why not use a pink ribbon? I don’t think there are any hard and fast rules for what colors work with a pink ribbon and using Delightful Dijon as the main color only makes the pink ribbon stand out. And when sending a card of hope, you want the message to stand out.
This card is part of my “tour of the retiring In Colors 2015-2017”. Stampin’ Up! rotates a selection of 5 colors into the line for a 2 year run. It is an easy way to add some new spark to the color line up and take advantage of the newest color trends. I love the In Colors! I find even if I don’t warm up to them at first, after a few project these colors become well-loved. I have to admit I wasn’t crazy about Delightful Dijon when I first saw it. But I am really going to miss it now.
The paper is from the Scenic Scenery DSP stack. If you loved that, you will love the Wood Textures DSP stack in the catalog debuting in June 1st! Watch the video below for more details! (click on the image to open the video)
