I haven’t participated in the Global Design Project challenge in a while and I was determined to make a card for it this week. After several tries, I settled on using the Merry Mistletoe stamp set. I had in my mind something with the hardwood background. I made several cards, which I will be sharing with you in the next few days, but this one is the one I chose to enter challenge #GDP097 with.
The challenge this week was a color challenge. The challenge colors were Crumb Cake, Berry Burst and Wild Wasabi. When I looked at the colors, I saw Christmas! I also saw rustic and hardwood. Which explains the background stamp chosen for this card. The Merry Mistletoe has been one of my favorite sets from the new catalog, so choosing this stamp set was a natural. With the stamp and the colors, it was a great time to try using some of the Boxwood Wreath embellishments. The cute little wreaths have been in my craft stash just waiting to come out. And I don’t know what I would do if Stampin’ Up! did not have the stitched framelits! They have really become my go to for framing artwork and sentiments.
I have to say, there were a lot of neat interpretations of this color challenge for #GDP097. I encourage you to take a look at some of them by clicking HERE or on the image below.
