Its New Catalog Time! Share What You Love!

Love What You So, STAMPIN' UP!

There is a lot of excitement going on this month!  The new catalog is about to launch. And if you are in St Louis you know we have a big day of Stampin’ Up fun on Saturday!  This is one of the Demonstrator events Sally Nusbaum puts on in the St Louis area.  And this year, our guest presenter is none other than Brian King! We are excited for a full day of learning about new products, techniques and of course, swapping!

I love swaps at events and this weekend I have two coming up.  Today’s card is a “reject” from the designs I worked on to develop a swap card.  Its not a reject because I don’t like it. I actually love it!  But many designs won’t work for a swap because of the time it takes to put them together or maybe the design doesn’t work with the supplies you have on hand or a lot of other reasons. It is not unusual for me to come up with 5 or 6 designs before I hit on the one that will work for a swap

Cards that work for swaps should show off the product well by using an interesting variety of paper and products.  I started out my swap design wanting to do something with the “Statement of My Heart” stamp.  This stamp is available for free wth a bundle only during the “Share What You Love” Early Release going on now until May 31st. After that, this stamp is retired. Click Below to see the products and the bundles available to you now!

Share What You Love, STAMPIN' UP!
The reason I wanted to use the “Statement of My Heart” Stamp is because it is the Mission Statement for Stampin’ Up!  And the statement represents a lot of what I think about Stampin’ Up! and my experiences with it.  Just by “sharing with others” and helping “others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments” has made a difference in my own life.  This is the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!. I have been lucky enough to have been a part of their journey for almost half of that time.  And every minute of it has been worth it!  So, of course creating a card with a stamp using the mission statement was high on my list!  It features the aper from the suite, which is more beautiful than I can show here.  Like all the Specialty DSP’s, the paper is thicker & heavier than other DSP and some of the designs feature a pearlized finish. It is really beautiful.

So, this card did not make “the cut” for my swap, but I still love it. I will be sharing a few other rejects as well as the ones that “did make the cut” over the next few days.  And take a look at the new catalog when you get it!  There is so much new! I haven’t even mentioned all the new colors!
