This was my swap card design for Beautiful Day! I used the same butterfly image that is embossed with copper and colored using the “Brusho” color crystals. The background paper is the Wood Textures DSP, which was carried over from last year’s catalog! Yea!!! The trim is the 1/4″ Copper Trim and Blackberry Bliss twine.
Most of the work on this card involved using the “Brusho” crystals. This was the first time I have tried them out. To get the color I wanted I used the crystals as well as a watercolor wash with Mossy Meadow ink. You don’t have a lot of control with the “Brusho”, so you have to be prepared to have every image look different. Yesterday’s card used this technique too and you can take a look at it HERE to see the difference.
