This card is really all about the new DSP called Perennial Essence. It is one of my favorites and I love the elegant designs. These papers were all hand painted impressionistic-inspired designs by Stampin’ Up Concept Artist. You can see a close-up below of one of the designs in work. And a close-up of all the papers below that. Aren’t they beautiful?
As you can see, the paper is beautiful. And once you cut it up for cards, you will have several different looks. For this card, I loved it with copper. To give it a more elevated look, I used the Subtle Textures Dynamic Embossing Folder on the DSP to make it look like an oil painting. And I also went ahead and embossed the Copper Foil Paper for a different look. Because I am not a great embosser, I chose the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays because the lettering font is bold and makes embossing easier. I also like the sentiment as is small and doesn’t take away from the DSP. Birthday Wishes was embossed with Copper Embossing Powder on a piece of Purple Posy.
I could have added another layer by backing the DSP with Purple Posy card stock. That color worked perfect too. But I wanted the DSP as large as I could make it. The Pink Petal Rhinestone Gems were added just because I liked them! So, try using the Subtle Textures Dynamic Embossing Foldert for the oil painting look. I think you will be impressed with the results on Stampin’ Up!’s high quality papers.
The card base is one of the new In Colors, Pretty Peacock. Here are all the new colors together. They really are sumptuous.

Beautiful card Susan. A Monet moment!!
Thanks Jayne. The paper is so nice you could frame it!
Gorgeous! I love the additional texture you added to the already-textured paper.
Thank you, Brian. I liked that the Subtle Textures folder makes it look like a canvas oil painting! This is such beautiful paper!
