Here’s an dainty little old-fashioned look using the much loved Toile Tidings DSP. This darling set is on sale now in the Year End Clearance at Stampin’ Up! But it while supplies last until January 4th when it will go into permanent retirement! The Pine Tree punch is retiring too and it has been one of my best loved punches. I love it for making tags and cute little trees like you see in the card.
I layered several designs from Toile Tidings DSP just to give the card a more vintage look. I tried just adding the punched trees to the card without a layer, but the trees just did not stand out. I also tried a solid color oval behind them, but that ruined the vintage look. I finally came up with the idea of punching out a coordinating card stock, cutting the punched tree in half and then layering with a narrow bit of card stock showing. It was the perfect solution! I did not like a space at the top, so I punched another tree and just cut off the tip for my tree top. I gave the tree in the middle a bow and the trees were done!
