Snowman Season and Festive Corners Start The Holidays!

November 17, 2020 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

This jolly little guy was made using the Snowman Season and Festive Corners stamp sets. I wanted something light and cheery and the Heartwarming Hugs DSP was just the thing! A little Real Red Braided trim and a couple of embellishments set everything off perfectly.

If you like snowman or snow scenes, then the Snowman Season stamp set is perfect for you! With a choice of 3 jolly snowmen designs and a matching punch, your snow adventures can be many! And for unique borders, nothing beats the Festive Corners set. With fall, halloween, holiday and Valentine’s Day borders, you are set for months to come.

And what you cannot see on this card is the touch of sparkle on the snowman. Where I shaded in the snowman with the Light Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blend, I also colored over that with the Wink Of Stella. It tied the glitter in the star on the ribbon trim back to the snowman. Its a small touch, but it makes the card look special and very finished.

If you have been wishing that Stampin’ Up! had a Dragonfly stamp set, then hang on! Your wish will come true in January! Not only that, but your Dragonfly stamp set will have a matching punch! How cool is that?

The card you see today was created using the Dragonfly Garden set with matching punch. You will see it soon in the January-June Mini catalog arriving in your mailbox mid to late December. Be on the lookout for it, you don’t want to lose it in all that holiday mail. And I truly mean you won’t! This is the prettiest spring occasions catalog from Stampin’ Up! I have ever seen.

One of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is getting to order products in advance of the catalog launches. And this beautiful stamp set and paper is one of those early orders from the “Dandy Garden Suite. The paper is beautiful and the embellishments include the cute ladybug you see on this card’s sentiment.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks in December. For now, I just had to show you this sneak peek before I go back to blogging about what’s important now….Holiday Ideas!

But if you are looking for something new and fresh for spring occasions card making, check out the Customer Sneak Preview Set, Curvy Celebrations.  For the month of November, you can order a special bundle of new stamps and dies. Happy Stamping!

Love of Leaves With Artistry Blooms

November 10, 2020 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Today’s card was the culmination of several attempts to do a card that showed the colors of fall foliage! Love of Leaves stamp set was my first choice. But how to use it in a way that showed off all the variations in fall color was the challenge.

I started off by trying to use watercolor pencils and show variations of color. That was pretty much a fail. Then I tried sponge daubing many colors on the paper and die cutting. It was okay, but not exciting. Finally I decided to go back to what I know best! Using Designer Series Papers, better known as DSP.

The Artistry Blooms was perfect for the vision I had for this card. I simply chose areas of this beautiful DSP that had the colors I wanted and die cut my collection of leaves. I even used one of the papers as my background. A pattern from the In Good Taste DSP helped to pop my “leaves collection” a bit more and framing that DSP with some Rich Razzleberry really brought the collage of leaves together.

A sentiment is all it took to pull the card together and I layered the sentiment on a loose fold of the natural color Embroidered Ribbon. A few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots added some interest. And I was done! DSP to the rescue again!
