One of the many things I love about Paper Pumpkin is how versatile the kit is. I often take the cards and cut them apart and layer the card fronts and backs with solid color Stampin’ Up card stock to create double the cards in the kit. And very often there are enough leftovers in the kit to create extra cards! This month, I ended up with a few extra and came up with the card design above. The design is layered on a card that has been cut in half and use as the base for the design. For the card on pink, all the parts are from the kit except for the gold cord, which I took from my stash and added Gold Sequins to bling everything up. I had used up all the copper cord that came in the kit! So, I had to change to gold. The gold works fine with the copper elements in the candle die cuts! And if you have enough of the copper cord left over, the Neutrals Swquins pack has copper sequins in it.
For the card on the Moody Mauve base, I die cut a label from the Tags die cuts and used the stamp from the set. Actually I could see making many of this card design using other patterned paper scraps and the stamps from this Paper Pumpkin set! I actually made about 16 cards from this one set by cutting all the card fronts in half and using them as bases for alternative card designs.
Here is a look at the Stamp Set and card designs that came with this Paper Pumpkin kit. I didn’t think that the July kit could be beat this month, but this one was definitely a contender for best Paper Pumpkin kit ever!
I also took the fold-out card in the kit and layered it onto Pecan Pie card stock for an elevated look. I also added Copper Sequins from the Neutral Sequins pack you can see in the supplies at the bottom of this post. I think adding the Pecan Pie card stock gave the card a more masculine look. I really liked this color combo.
