Pansy Petals Suite Item# 155810

This gorgeous new suite features all the new In Colors:  Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. This is such a pretty suite. Item# 154994 Color & Contour Bundle

This new stamp set and coordinating die is fantastic for arts, but easy to make cards. The font used in the stamp set sentiments is modern and fun. And the coordinating die set Scalloped Contours Dies gives you 5 scalloped edge rectangles, the scalloped edge border you see on the sample below and cutouts for the flowers and stems in the set. You will love this set!

The new In Colors and the New 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper

Aren’t these new papers beautiful? The image below features the gorgeous new In Colors for 2021-2023. From left: Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Polish Pink and Soft Succulent. Love them! And these fresh new patterned papers are not only in the new In Colors, but the existing 2020-2022 In Colors and all the Color Collections.

And those “must haves” are only a few of the wonderful new products! Take some time to look at all the new things and plan your crafty summer!

Here’s a simple little card using the Art Gallery set along with leaf spring from Pretty Perennials. And what ties all this together is the Gold Hoop Embellishment. Sadly, it is retiring May 3rd. But there is still time to get these beauties while supplies last. I have used them quite a bit and I love the way they tie a collages card together.

I listed the Gilded Leafing Embellishment in my card supplies below, but I realized after looking at this card, I really missed an opportunity where the Gilded Leafing would have elevated this card design to the next level. I find the Gilded Leafing super easy to use.

Simply take a blender pen and some of the Versamark ink and color in the areas you want to gild. Then apply some Heat & Stick Powder and heat emboss. That creates the sticky surface for you to add your gilded leafing to. I take a pinch of the flakes and using my bone folder, buff in the Gilded Leafing. It will adhere and the more you buff, the smoother it will get. If you wanted it a little more textured, then buff less. You can use that, your fingertip or an embossing stylus.

I wish this card looked as pretty in a photograph as it does in person! But glitter papers are very hard to get right. I had these Sunflowers die cut and sitting on my desk for the longest time. I am sure I am not alone in that when I have something cut out that I love, I hate to throw it away. Today was the day I was finally inspired to make something from these sparkly, wonderful die cuts! And seeing a scrap of Artistry Blooms DSP was the inspiration!

The color combination is a little bit wild, but I think the Granny Apple Green in the DSP works wonderfully with the Mango Madness and Rich Razzleberry card stock. They complement each other well and play up the colors in the Sunflower well too. I used a simple message from the Many Messages stamp set. And no, I did not cut out all the sentiments with Mango Madness!  Using the Stamparatus, I was able to place the stamp and a scrap of card stock to stamp only this sentiment. Luckily I had a Stampin’ Spot and could get precise on the one sentiment. But you could use a sponge dauber or Stampin’ Blend. The sentiment and the die were perfect for adding a sentiment in just the right spot!

A few Artistry Blooms sequins and a bit of ribbon colored with a Mango Madness Stampin Blend finished the card. The ribbon I used is retiring soon. Boo Hoo! But if you love it like I do, its on sale while supplies last! It has definitely been my go to for custom color ribbons. So, I may have to stock up.  I am hoping Stampin’ Up! comes up with something new and fabulous to replace the metallic edged ribbons!
