I just love the plaids in the holiday papers! This plaid from the Farmhouse Christmas Suite is one of my favorites. And I decided to use it again for this card.  This time it is a simple card you can put together in minutes!  The card design uses the new Spring Punch which makes it a snap to add details like you see behind the sentiment.  Much easier than cutting all those out using framelits.  I love framelits. But sometimes you are in a hurry!

The plaid made the color story easy.  Gray Granite and Cherry Cobbler.  Rather than using traditional ribbon, I opted for the Cherry Cobbler Cotton Twine and the Braided Linen Trim, both of which seemed to work with a plaid design better than traditional ribbon.  Again, this card was all about keeping it simple and easy. The sentiment is from Winter Woods and was stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Gray Granite and then cut out wit h one of the Farmhouse Framlits. Gray Granite is becoming one of my favorite neutrals.

Products Used For This Card

Winter Woods is one of my favorite sets from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  I love the traditional images and I think this set is as versatile as our old standby, Lovely As A Tree!  The copper look of this card design was inspired by the Joyous Noel Specialty DSP, which has copper foil highlights in the design.

The trees and sentiment were embossed with the Copper Embossing Powder.  I used the Copper Foil Paper and 1/4″ Copper Trim to finish it off.  The card is simple as the foil highlights in the DSP and the Copper embossed designs really carry the look of the design.  Its a simple, elegant look for the holidays!
