Today’s card is from a color combination that was the Challenge for the Global Design Project last week. I was a little late doing the challenge, but since I had this idea in my head anyway, I decided to do it tonight. And I love working on project while I am watching award shows. So, with the Golden Globes on in the background, This is the card I came up with!
The card uses the challenge color story of Rose Red, Garden Green and Crumb Cake, a truly wonderful combination. And both Rose Red and Garden Green get forgotten too often. So, it is nice to get a change to use them. I also got to use the new Timeless Textures set to make the background on the Garden Green. I used 2 stamps from the set to stamp a border on the top and bottom of the green. I also felt the flower needed a bit of framing, so I cut a circle and then colored it with the Wink of Stella to give it a little sparkle! The Wink of Stella pen is a great way to add glitter or sparkle without the mess! And glitter with no mess is stamping happiness!

Very pretty! Really love the colors and I’m not big on pink!
Thanks Jackie. I had forgotten what a versatile “pink” Rose Red is.
Lovely card Susan. I’m with you on the glitz with no glitter.
Really! I just wish I had thought of the idea!
Awesome card Susan! Love it. The way you have used the colours is so clever. Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project challenge! Enjoy the golden Globes. 🙂
