Today’s card is for #GDP025 – Global Design Project’s Color Challenge. Once I saw the color challenge, I was inspired to do a more masculine card and use the Going Global set, which I love and seems so appropriate for the Global Design Project #GDP025! Click on the image below to check out what everyone is doing this week. This is a beautiful as well as classic color combination and the submissions are wonderful!
This design also gave me opportunity to use some of the Typeset Specialty DSP. I love this look in a paper and I cannot figure out why I don’t use it more. We had a similar DSP a few years ago that everyone was mad for. This DSP offers a lot more design choices in the set and if you like a vintage look to cards, this paper is a “must have”. See all the designs in this DSP set here! Just keep in mind that the photo on the Stampin’ Up website makes the paper look like it has a white background, but the paper is definitely very vanilla in the background and has a great vintage look because it is actually printed on newsprint weight paper! Very cool.
Another “must have” if you like to make masculine cards is the Going Global set. The set on its own is great, but it also coordinates well with some of the nautical sets. What I love most about the Going Global set are the sentiments.
And last of all, I felt like I needed one more thing on the card to finish it off. My first choice was some Candy Dots. But I was down to a single Daffodil Delight dot! So, I chose Crushed Curry enamel dots from the 2016 Occasions catalog. I think they work fine.
