This simple little card is one of my swaps for On Stage. I can’t believe I actually found time to make some! For swaps, I wanted to use In Colors and the stamps sets we know will be carried over to next year. I have also just gotten a Silhouette Cameo…yeah me! With the Cameo, I can stamp all the images and then use the cutter to do all my fussy cutting. In a very short space of time, I was able to cut out 50 stamped sentiments. This made the work of production card making so easy. Normally I would have just put this sentiment on a rectangle. But being able to give it the “fussy cut” look is a fabulous feature of having a Silhouette machine. Since I was doing swaps, I felt honor bound to stamp all the images and cut them out. But you could also stamp a page and then “scan and cut” multiple pages faster than I was able to scanning and cutting each stamped page.
To fancy up the sentiment some, I colored in areas using Stampin’ Write markers. This gave the sentiment some pop. And of course, I had to add the 2-tone Baker’s Twine. I am so hoping this makes it to next year’s catalog. All in all a very simple design to make in bulk, but a swap card I am happy to put my name on!
