It is Sunday evening. The temperature outside is about 100 degrees, still. “Downton Abbey” is no more. I am just now recovering from my “Game of Thrones” Sunday night withdrawal since the season ended a couple weeks ago. So, I decided it was time to spend Sunday evening stamping! And since I still cannot keep “Game of Thrones” out of me head, I was reminded of the shows ominous mantra all these seasons. The mantra that colors everything happening and the saying everyone keeps repeating over and over, “Winter is Coming“.
And while I am here stamping on Sunday night, you won’t see this post until Tuesday. And for Stampin Up Demonstrators Tuesday is a big day! The first day of the Holiday Catalog Launch Party online! And for customers, the Holiday catalog arrives the last week of August!
SO, as stampers we will soon have a similar saying upon us! “The Holidays are coming!”. It is a mere 6 months until Christmas! Of course, this stampers’ saying is one of excitement and joy, not one of foreboding and weird creatures in the snow like “Game of Thrones”. Now is the time to take some of the new This Christmas DSP and get creative! I love, love, love this DSP. It is a lighter weight stock and has a very vintage look to it. It can be used to create envelopes, as wrapping a paper and for decorating of course!
And I wanted to use the Time Of Year set, which is a Host set you can get with Stampin Rewards! I love the large sentiment and the variety of seasons and occasion this set covers. The ovals set the sentiment off perfectly and a frame of Cherry Cobbler pops the DSP. So, get to it stampers. “The Holidays are coming!”

Beautiful, I really love the simplicity!
Beautiful card Susan. The holidays will be here before we know it judging by how fast this year has flown by. In the paper crafting world there is much to do. Thank you for the inspiration as I really need to get started.
