Beautiful You in Serene Scenery

Beautiful You, Stampin' Up!

I’ve been working with the Serene Scenery DSP lately. With this paper, you really need to think outside the box a little.  The paper has so much variety and so many beautiful “photo real” designs. It really invites you to create art pieces in a quick and easy way. I kept going back to this particular paper thinking it would be great with the Beautiful You stamp set.  I love the light behind the leaves. The paper with the stamp design and sentiment seems to convey a sense of hope. This would make a great framed piece as well as a card.  Basic Black matts the card and the design is layered on an Old Olive card base.

This card was very simple and fast. I stamped the design and sentiment in Basic Black.  Then I used the Watercolor Pencils to color in the dress and the hat.  The figure seems to be blending in with the leaves and I really liked that look.  While there are so many great sentimenst to choose from in Beautiful You, I thought this one best fit the mood of the card.  What a great card to send someone who needs some cheering up!

I encourage you to try a few “outside the box” ideas with Serene Scenery!
