This card using Pop of Paradise, was for an organized swap. I started out with the new flamingo Stamp set, Fabulous Flamingo, but decided I did not want to be that artsy. I wanted a simple card that was easy to duplicate because I had to make a lot. Plus, I wanted a modern clean look. The flamingo from Pop of Paradise was perfect for creating a modern, simple card. To bring in some trendy elements, I used the Balloon Celebration. I had seen a card on Pinterest where someone used pieces from this set to create lemons and cantaloupes. I didn’t get that specific with the shapes from this set, but I thought the shapes definitely looked tropical.
For colors, I used the In Colors of Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist. I loved how they work together. I need a vibrant pink for the flamingo and the Flirty Flamingo was certainly the color. The background stamp is from Work of Art. It was a simple way of getting a watercolor look without the time it takes to watercolor! I could simply stamp and move on to the next card. Some 3/8″ Flirty Flamingo Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Basic Rhinestones were the finishing touches.

What a fun card! Love the color combo too! It seems like people have pushed this flamingo to the back with the introduction of the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set. Thanks for reminding us about this guy.
Thanks Jackie. I agree. I still love the flamingo from this set.
