This is the last of the cards I did using the colors of Wild Wasabi, Berry Burst and Crumb Cake on the Hardwood background stamp. The Beautiful Bouquet stamp set has been calling my name for a few weeks now. I wanted to try this color combination using the fabulous florals from that set. And though these “botanical” type sets have many, many pieces, I love putting them all together. Its not exactly quick and easy stamping, but it certainly is a lot of fun.
What I like about these types of sets is that the possibilities are endless. The florals can be stamped in as many color combinations as you need them for all seasons. The color combination shown lends itself to an autumn look, but I can easily see this in spring and summer colors as well. And with 12 sentiments and 3 small sayings for tags or cards, you will be able to make so many cards.
This is one of those stamp sets Stampin’ Up! gives us that simply covers all occasions and is perfect for the stamper who wants a few good stamps on hand. With 37 stamps in this set plus framelits to match, this is really a must have set if you are into floral cards!
This card uses about 16 die cut shapes! Doing cards this intricate, I find it helps to stamp a few samples to find what you like and what works. Then die cut all your pieces at once. And with a bouquet, I highly advise cutting out a few extras. Once you have all your pieces, then the fun beings. You can start “flower arranging” until you get a look you like. Once your layout is done is when I advise to start gluing pieces down. Start with your base pieces first of course, and then work you way up to the flowers or other focal pieces. You may want to use some dimensionals at the end to “pop” a few of the pieces. Once you have done a few of these, you will become expert quite fast!
