Yes, I am thankful the Fall Equinox occurred last Friday and Autumn should be on the way soon. Yet this week there seems like little hope for it with 90 degree weather! It is very unusual to have it so hot so late in the year. But the cool weather is coming Friday and fall will start to take shape here. I just decorated my house for Halloween and Harvest and I was inspired to start making some Thanksgiving & Harvest cards. Decor items are next!
This particular card was made for a swap I did recently. It is a little over the top in layers, but it made for a really beautiful card. And I love the Foil Snowflakes in the holiday catalog. But this Autumn themed card shows they can be used as something other than a snowflake! Included in the layers is some metallic thread which really framed the card, but doesn’t show up well in this image.
The little “twigs” are from the Eclectic Layers Thinlets. I just happened to like the look, but you could change it up with any “twig” Thinlet you might have. Everyday Jars has some “twigs” that would be just as perfect.
