Sometimes you get an idea and you just can’t let it go until it’s done. That was the case with this card for the Global Design Project #GDP135 “Show Me The Sunshine” Challenge. This week’s challenge was a theme challenge to show cards all about sunshine! Immediately I knew I wanted to use the Sunshine Wishes thinlet. I have had that for a while and never used the”sunshine” die cut. The others I have used many times. This was my big moment. And once I looked at the die cut, I knew I wanted to use the “Hello” stamp from the Pop Of Paradise set, The Flamingo from that set just kinda came along for the ride.
I decided on Black & Daffodil Delight as the colors and just made the card simple with a striped background paper, a little bit of ribbon and twine and of course rays of sunshine! I encourage you to hop on over to the Global Design Project Page for #GDP135 and check out everyone else’s interpretation of “Show Me Sunshine!
Right now, I am all about “use what we have”. The Pop of Paradise stamp set retires at the end of May. So if you love this Flamingo as much as I do, there is no time to waste! The Amazing You stamp set was one you could earn during Sale-A-Bration, which ended on March 31st. Hopefully, this was one you grabbed then! I used the retired Black Rhinestones. But you can also color your clear Rhinestones with a Sharpie! It works great.
