Homemade Kindness is not a set that has gotten a lot of attention from the Holiday Occasions catalog, but I loved it from day one and just had to start thinking what I could do with this besides holiday cards. Turns out, it makes a great “thank you card”!
While many of us will be cooking for Thanksgiving and other holidays soon, many of us will be be invited out or holiday meals. As well, homemade gifts of food from neighbors and friends are common over the holidays. In honor of all those cooking today and all those traveling to enjoy home cooked meals, I made this simple thank you card.
It uses my favorite DSP, Wood textures and only the Homemade Kindness set. I kept it simple. And the color scheme was easy to choose as I wanted to use the Night of Navy Gingham ribbon!
The simplicity of the card allowed me to create it quick and get busy making my Thanksgiving specialities! One of which is a Cheddar Cheese, Bacon and Pecan spread. Honestly, I could just eat that tomorrow instead of all the other stuff! And when I serve it, no one ever asks when dinner will be ready. It’s the perfect thing to serve a crowd of people
before a Thanksgiving Dinner! When I found the recipe all I saw was bacon and pecan and I was in! I had no clue they could taste so fabulous together! If you want the recipe, just e-mail me! I will be happy to send it to you.
Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to everyone!

Love this card. It brings back a memory the wood burning stove my Aunt Ruth had in her farmhouse kitchen.
