I decided to challenge myself to come up with a holiday card using the Buffalo Check background stamp in black & white. I have seen many looks on Pinterest and I loved the simplicity with this stamp in black & white. The stamp set I chose to work with for the top layers was Making Christmas Bright. This set is a favorite and I find it works in all types of designs from modern to retro to even elegant. Plus I had not used the matching punch for the set and I wanted t try this out!
The Buffalo Check was stamped in Black on regular Whisper White paper. I wanted Real Red to be my accent color, so the “wreath” was stamped in Real Red along with the Christmas Bulbs. For the gold accents, I punched out the metal part for the light bulb in Gold Foil and used Gold 1/8″ cord to “string” up the bulbs. A strip of gold foil behind the sentiment seemed to pull it all together!
