In St Louis, we are digging out of an historic snow. So, I was snowbound all day Saturday as we waited for the snow to stop. But I couldn’t have cared less. A great “snow day” like that was an excellent excuse to sit and just stamp all day!
The snow fell like crazy outside! But inside it was toasty and warm and I was immersed in beautiful new patterns and stamps for spring! Take a look at the snow scene outside my window yesterday! Looks like a frozen wasteland, right? But it was beautiful to watch the snow fall all day long and I love when it piles up on the tree limbs like this…so pretty.
Well, enough about snow. One of the projects I decided to do was the Global Design Project Challenge. I had not checked in to what they were doing lately, so I decided that was one project I needed to do. I love their challenges! The theme and color challenges are my favorites. The theme is “A New Year. So, what I chose to do was “celebrate” some of the beautiful new DSP in the Spring Occasions, Happiness Blooms. I love the fact this paper goes with a lot of the new In Colors. So, I knew I had ribbons and embellishments to match! I chose a floral design in Night of Navy and Call Me Clover just because it seemed happy. I must have come up with 5 designs that did not work before settling on this one. It’s not a “traditional” New Year’s card. But because we are done with holiday projects and now on to spring holidays and occasions with lighter colors, I feel like it is a new start to the year!

There’s nothing “snow bound” about this bright-and-cheery card! I love how you’ve played off the yellow dots with the 2019. ♥

Thank you Brian! I would have liked the dots to be straighter, but I am glad you like it!
