How’s this idea for a tropical Christmas card! I had a “Christmas in July” swap with a group of Demonstrators last week and I decided to go tropical for it! After all, it is July! And we always need tropical holiday ideas. I grew up in Florida where the holidays don’t necessarily mean snow and hot chocolate! Plus, south of the equator, the holidays occur in summer. Bright holiday colors using the Tropical Chic set seemed like a great idea for a “Christmas in July” swap!
Actually, my card revolved around wanting to use the Red Rhinestones. I decided I needed a card design with bling and I wanted to use the red. The rhinestones are not a deep red, definitely more on the bright side, so I thought they looked great with Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover, the 2018-2020 In Colors. And this bright take on “traditional holiday colors” seemed to be a better fit with the Tropical Chic stamp set rather than Real Red and Garden Green or Olive. The card was a really “simple” design I CASED from Connie Stewart that you can see HERE. I had this card on my Pinterest Board forever and this was finally the time I needed the idea to figure out my “Tropical Christmas” card.
What I love most is the corner rounding on opposite corners and the simplicity of the card layout. Connie used a simple black and Lovely Lipstick design for a thank you card. But it was easy to convert that idea to a holiday look. And of course, I carried the theme through to the inside sentiment!
For those of us who are used to celebrating Christmas in a sunny, warm climate, here’s a great take on using the Tropical Chic set for your holiday card. And you can start now! The holidays will be here before you know it!

It really does. Nancy and I hosted a Tropical Holidays swap at On Stage in Orlando and this set had to be the #1 for that swap!
