This is a quick little card using Pressed Petals DSP for the Global Design Project’s sketch project #GDP202. I needed a little inspiration today and a challenge was just the thing to get me started.
I was really keen on using the Pressed Petals DSP for this project. Mostly because I started out with a stamped image from the Slice of Happiness set and I was determined Pressed Petals would be perfect for it. But after a few tries, that idea went no where!
So, I figured I would just stay true to the challenge’s sketch design and still use the Pressed Petals paper. This simple little card is what I came up with. I immediately like the border I could create at the bottom that matched the background paper. And because I was going after a “vintage-country” look, using the Corrugated Embossing folder was the perfect backdrop. I kept it simple and resisted the order to add some punched daisies and leaves! Overall, I liked how it came out.
Its early in the week to see many ideas, but bookmark the Global Design Project’s page to visit in a few days or click on the image below to see lots of great ideas the designers did for this challenge and scroll through the other challenged. And I encourage you to try a challenge! They are a great source of inspiration and ideas.
