Go Wild Again!

Go Wild Again!
Go Wild Again!

I decided to back to the Go Wild DSP paper pack for another card tonight. I never watch TV, but I wanted to see the new live show, “Best Time Ever” and I did not want to think too much! This was an idea already germinating from yesterday’s card and it was quick and easy to put together!

I love the graphic patterns against the lace and metallic.  And the “tin of Cards” stamp set is really coming in handy for bold sentiments.  I also have to give a big thumbs up for the Archival Basic Black ink pad.  I love it!  We really have some great choices in black ink pads now with the Archival, Momento and Staz On!

Well back to the “Best Time Ever”!  Although the jury is still out as to whether this show will be the best time ever…

Happy New Year!

Rosh Hashanah Card
Rosh Hashanah Card

L’shana tova everyone. A “shout out” to all my friends for Rosh Hashanah. May everyone have a truly sweet, prosperous and harmonious New Year!  And for all of us, may we all “Be Good and Do Good” over the next year!

I am late with today’s post  because I was waiting to see what would happen with the Global Design Challenge this week. I was all excited to join it once again!

When I saw the card template, my first impulse was to go wild with some DSP, literally, with the “Go Wild” paper pack. Once I had the card constructed, I needed a sentiment.  I had originally wanted to design a Rosh Hashanah card for today, but that idea sort of evaporated yesterday.  But this card made me think, how can I make this into a Rosh Hashanah card? Whenever I am perplexed for a sentiment, I sit down with my lovely Stampin Up catalogs to see if anything sparks an idea. Well, of course the “Oh What Fun” set in the Holiday occasions did that for me.  The rest was just excitedly searching for the pieces to finish it!  Truly, oh what fun it was! So this is my card to everyone as well as my entry for this weeks project GDP#002 over at the Global Design Project. Follow the link to see what everyone else is doing and to join in yourself!

Making Spirits Bright!

It’s Friday and I needed something simple after the longest, short workweek I’ve had in a long time!  Doesn’t it seem like work is especially hectic after long holiday weekends? What is that? So work weary as I am, simplicity was the name of the game in doing this card! And to make me feel happy, I whose a stamp with one of my favorite holiday lines from a song: ” Making Spirits Bright! “. Doesn’t that just want to make you start singing and celebrating?  No?  Well, I was very tired and a bit punch happy when I did this!

I love the plaid paper and I love the simple but elegant round stamp.  It is from the “Among The Branches” stamp set. This one set has stamps for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Halloween. It covers all your fall holidays!   A great set you can get bundled with the “must have” Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Quick & easy stampin!

Recipe

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Many Merry Moments DSP
Inks: Mossy Meadow
Stamps: Among The Branches
Embellishments: Mossy Meadow Striped Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones
