Timeless Elegance in 3-D

I finally finished a project I had gotten from the Super Stamper event at convention last night! I don’t always craft well in crowds, so when I came to the last table and saw this beautiful project, I knew I had to take it home and finish it in my own time and space. It’s a lovely photo cube using the Timeless Elegance paper and a wood photo cube you can find on Oriental Trading. Completely designed by the talented Super Stamper gals from the www.Sassy Classy.org event at convention. But lovingly put together by me! I think it is a super project for Stamp Camps and other events where you need a simple but impressive project. One thing to note, I put rhinestones on the end of the sequin trim. I did not catch it in the photograph very well. But I want to point it out since it is a neat solution to keep the thread on the ends from showing or unraveling further on the sequins!

Wetlands Makes a Great Fall Card

Yesterday afternoon I went to Jayne’s Stamp Camp and made some great cards. As always, Jayne gives us perfectly designed kits that make beautiful cards. This great afternoon of stamping made me want to stamp more last night. And on the drive home I was thinking, “I really need to make a blog card tonight! But whatever am I going to make?”. About that time, I noticed a whole flock of geese on a field. I was surprised to see the geese here so early and was pondering how beautiful they looked. Then it hit me, that’s my card!!! Thank you geese.

I started trying to design with both the Wetlands and the new Winter Wishes. But couldn’t quite get that to work out. But stayed tuned, I won’t give up! Maybe that version will appear in a later post. Today’s version is all Wetlands! I really think this set will be around as long as Lovely as a Tree, it is so versatile. And I bought it in wood mount, which is a true sign of my committment to a stamp set! The goose is snipped out and placed on top of the grass, because I do not have the patience for masking! I was going to add a button on top of the ribbon and then I saw my package of “Into The Woods” wood embellishments. Perfect! I was a fun card to make and reminder fall is on the way!

Market Fresh Journal

Everyone who stamps with me knows how much I love making books! And anyone who has been around me at convention knows I always make a journal just for convention. So, I thought I would share that journal with you today. I loved it while Stampin’ Up! had the This n’ That Journals, but retiring them has not deterred me. I invested in a We R Memory Keepers Binding machine. Now I can make books of any size with Stampin’ Up! products! For my convention journal, I always include all the items posted on the convention website. I haven’t done it yet, but after convention I put in my snapshots and other keepsakes from convention. It is nice to look at them now and then and remember the great times we have at convention! And can you believe all that fussy cutting?!!!
