It’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving!  Whether its getting your recipes in order, shopping or card making for friends & family, that holiday is near! Today’s card features a simple design that uses a color combo I really love, Cajun Craze and Pretty Peacock. These two colors are rich and make you think of changing leaves and bonfires.

Because the focal point of the card is simple, I needed some texture to set off the rustic pitcher of fall foliage. Layering the White and Cajun Craze using the Stitched Rectangle Dies was perfect for that. The background of Pretty Peacock Gingham seemed perfect. The rustic pitcher with the greenery seems like something you would see on a farmhouse gingham tablecloth! I found the cheery looking sentiment in the Ride With Me set. And, keeping with the stitched dies, I used a Stitched Shape die for the sentiment. And to pop that, I die cut a leaf from the Gathered Leaves Die set and added a little bit of Cajun Craze twine. Simple and really just my style for a Thanksgiving card!

I decided to try a new challenge this week, saw the design challenge at Fab Friday and decided to give it a try!  I chose the crafting themed stamp sets of It Starts with Art and Crafting Forever. If you love crafting and you love Stampin’ Up!, then the Follow Your Art Suite Bundle is a must have. It includes everything you need to create cards, craft room decor and gifts for other crafters! It was a love at first site when I saw it in the new catalog.

Because I used the Follow Your Art DSP and a sentiment from the Crafting Forever set, this is a great card to send to a new customer or downline.  As well, it could be a great card to send to any stamper.  And as part of the World Card Making Day challenge for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, this card is going to a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in England as part of the challenge to send 50,000 cards this week! Being a fellow stamper and crafter, I am sure this is a card she can appreciate!  I love that this was a card that made 2 challenges and was mailed out to someone. I don’t mail nearly enough cards. But its a problem I hope to overcome soon!

This card features all the Wonderfully Wicked products and a little Monster Bash  from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. The “Wicked” die cut is just too fun! From cards to home decor to gift packaging, this die cut is perfect for Halloween fun!

I made this card really simple and fast to do. Of course, the centerpiece is the Wicked die cut. To make it stand out, I mounted it on a layer of Basic Black cut to fit the die cut. The paper is from Monster Bash. And the sentiments were stamped on Pumpkin Pie and die cut using and Ornate Frame die.  Cut them a little offset as I wanted to mount them to the edge of the card.

This card was so easy, so fast and so, so Halloween!
