Stampin’ Up! has been producing an exclusive line of papers the last few seasons that feature actual photographs. Petal Promenade is one of those and has been one of my favorites for creating quick cards that look very impressive. Today’s card could be for a wedding, birthday or even a bridal shower.  The border design is simply cut from the DSP and a sentiment stamped inside. I thought a bow would be perfect. and then the few faceted dots seemed to finish everything off nicely.  With the colors in the paper, I was able to use light color against a dark color which is a look I really like.

So, if you are looking for quick, easy cards take a look at Petal Promenade!  But don’t wait too long, this and many other items retire with the Annual Catalog on June 3rd!

This is a quick card I did for the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP186, which is a design template challenge.  I like the look of the card and the Memories & More Bog Plans pack was sitting on my desk just waiting to be used for something!  For more looks for this challenge, jump on over to the page HERE! Or click on the image below.  You will see lots of great ideas for this design.

I had bought the Big Plans Memories & more pack because I wanted one of the large cards in the pack to make a small sign for my studio.  It has part of the Stampin’ Up! mission statement and I just love the colors.  You can see below, I have matted it with Pineapple Punch. It will go into a black shadowbox frame with a few embellishments added. The other cards and stickers are just beautiful and make great accents in your memory keeping, planner or in card making!  I think just this card is reason enough to buy the Memories & More pack!

This is another card I did with Timeless Textures that I forgot to post! I loved creating with this set and really enjoyed working with the Gray Granite combined with other colors. This is a great neutral that works with brights or dark colors.  An earlier post featured the Gray Granite with Grapefruit Grove. Not what you would ordinarily think to pair it with, but I think it worked great. You can see that card HERE!

While I love the colors and the stamp set, I think adding actual textures to the card helped it as well.  I used one of the Stitched Rectangle dies, some of the Stitched Label dies and the Subtle Texture embossing folder on the layers.  It is a lot of extra work, but makes the card look expensive and elegant.

Alas, the Timeless Textures set is retiring at the end of May.  For information on retiring stamps and other Stampin’ Up! news, please see the bottom of this post.
