Wishing You Well Under The Mistletoe

September 19, 2018 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Wishing You Well, Under the Mistletoe DSP, Stampin' Up!

I am back with another design with my favorite set, Wishing you Well. This is such a lovely set and there is so much you can do with it. For this card, I decided to go traditional and use a red and green theme.

I used my favorite holiday paper, Under The Mistletoe.  This paper set is great because it matches back to so many greens and reds.  It allows  you to be very creative when coming up with a design and look.

For this card, I chose Shaded Spruce and Real Red. That seemed to be the best color combo to set off the paper. For a rustic look, I stamped the designs on Crumb Cake.  A few Red Rhinestones and some sparkly ribbon completed the card!

This design was the Icing On The Cake!

Icing On The Cake, Stampin' Up!

I belong to a group of Demonstrators who meet once a month for dinner and swap cards with a themed challenge for the month.  I can’t decide if we all meet because we like going out to dinner and having fun or if we like the swap! It may well be both! One of the recent challenges was to use the stamp set Icing on the Cake. And what a challenge this turned out to be! This is a beautifully etched stamp. In fact one of the nicest stamp sets I have worked with in terms of the etching. But it was an incredible challenge to come up with a design for this! After trying to be fancy and come up with an elaborate cake design, I just had to give up and created what you see.  I actually like it. It is simple and shows off the designs well.  And the card looks all fluffy and “cup-cakey”!

If you want a stamp set that is just beautiful and you are up to the design challenge, then I highly recommend Icing on the Cake.  In fact, I actually got a little bit hungry for some birthday cake while stamping all these lovely frosting designs!

Wishing You Well In Pastels

September 15, 2018 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!

Sometimes you want something a little different for the holiday season.  And this pastel hued card using Wishing You Well is just that!  Not everyone is a “red and green” holiday person.  And some of us live in more tropical climates as we celebrate.  So, a card a little out of the box, color wise is just the thing for you!

A Mint Marcaron patterned paper from the Tranquil Textures DSP set was the inspiration to make this card. Everything else just sort of fell into place! The sentiment and wreath were stamped in Shaded Spruce so they would show up. The bow was stamped in Flirty Flamingo.
