I have had the Swirly Frames stamp set for a while now.  I love it, but I haven’t had a design to use it in. Finally, an idea came to me using the Many Blessings Set. I love, love, love this simple little holiday set. It has nice simple line drawings that are perfect for coloring and sentiments you will use all holiday season. What’s not to like?

I took another one of my favorite things, Wood Textures DSP and then layered it on Fresh Fig and Cajun Craze.  That seemed to make a great Thanksgiving look. The sentiment and the colored artwork were die cut with Stitched Shapes.  And a;; I had to add was a bow! So simple and a good way to finally use the Swirly Frames!

Homemade Kindness isn’t a stamp set I would normally choose.  But anytime you have some kind of stamp set with anything about cooking, I just have to try it out!  Plus, I am loving my Stampin’ Blends and this was a great opportunity to really use those!  The stamp set is a simple line drawing with some great sentiments.  I am all about “cozy” this holiday season, so this set really spoke to me even though it really isn’t my style.

I used a plaid from the Under the Mistletoe DSP.  And the coordinating color with this pattern is supposed to be Old Olive, but I liked it with Granny Apple Green! I especially liked the pop this green had.  The tiny little Holly with Berries is from Christmas Pines.  It just added a nice, rustic touch to the sentiment. And the bow was just because!

It’s “Opening Day” for the holiday catalog. And “Wishing You Well” is my first pitch of the season! Sorry for the baseball analogy!  Here in St Louis, companies often close down for the St Louis Cardinals “Opening Day”.  And sometimes celebrities from all over come to make the first pitch of the season. So, this excitement that grips St Louis every spring is kinda how I feel about the start of the Holiday Catalog season!

For the first day of “ordering” from the Holiday Catalog, I picked what I think is an overlooked set, Wishing you Well.  It is a simple little set and it caught my eye the first time I saw it.  I loved the bow and the simplicity of the lettering. It’s a set that offers lots of possibilities. And a set you will keep using after the holiday season is over.
