One of the things I like best about the True Gentleman Suite is the clean graphics. This one with the eyeglasses are  no exception. While this paper goes great with the stamped sentiment, you could use it for so many things.  And in keeping with the clean  graphics, I added some layers to the mat for the sentiment using the Tailored Tag Punch.  It sets off the sentiment nicely and brings the colors together. I have to tell you I am having a lot of fun with this suite.  Sadly, its retiring soon. So, if you want this great suite of products in your collection, the time is now to stock up!

This week, I am showcasing the True Gentleman Suite in the Occasions catalog.  It is one my all time favorite “masculine themed” sets. Both the stamp set and the Designer Paper are classic, understated and very versatile!  Perfect for the guys in your life!  Because I wanted to enter this post in the Global Design Project Challenge, I decided to come up with a design that would fit the challenge design this week. I have always liked the cards with “collars and ties” and I wanted to do something along that line without the tie.  So, I thought, “why not suspenders?”. One of the designs in the Sure Gentleman DSP had the perfect vertical pattern for suspenders. And the collars are simple to do. Just take a 1/2′ strip of paper and fold it in to look like a collar. I threaded one of the True Gentleman buttons and adhered it to finish off the collar.  Perfect for your “truly Tailored” kinda guy!

There is a lot of excitement going on with Stampin’ Up! right now.  We have a Color Revamp coming in June and a customer preview item coming May 1st.  Many of you will be getting new Stampin’ Up! catalogs in May! With all that excitement going on, I wanted to come down to earth a bit and remember a fabulous stamp set and paper from the Occasions catalog we have active now, Truly Tailored and the matching paper True Gentleman!

With many events coming up soon for Graduations, Weddings and of course Father’s Day, we all need masculine cards to send to the guys in our lives. I know I always have a hard time coming up with something that I like the look of, but works for the guys.  This stamp set and paper are perfect. I love the plaid patterns and fabric texture looks. The accessories include a Corduroy ribbon in Night of Navy and the wood look True Gentleman buttons. The color palette is both striking and masculine.  So, think about all the wonderful guys in your life and make them something special!
