This is the last of the Valentine Cards using the Painted With Love DSP.  I hope you enjoyed all the cards as much as I enjoyed making them!  I encourage you to try a few of the more unusual color combinations using this paper. The colors blend together beautifully to create really modern, fresh looks.

Today’s card uses 2 of the designs combined with Calypso Coral and Rich Razzleberry.  Those are 2 colors I normally would not put together, but I think they work wonderfully on this card.  There’s tiny touch of Powder Pink in the die card heart as well. And again, I layered a die cut word with the same word in gold foil. It really does help pop the sentiment against this very richly colored paper.

Here’s another variation of a card using the Painted With Love Specialty DSP and die cut hearts using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. The background paper is really what makes this card. This paper is one of the richest of the designs in the set with lots of gold accents. Again, I used Berry Burst with this card even though it is not listed as a coordinating color. I also needed something to make the die cut word “love” stand out.  I took a die cut of the same word in gold foil and layered it. That did the trick!

All of the papers are beautiful, but this particular paper is one you’ll want to use for a really impressive card.  All of the papers are on heavy card stock, which makes the colors saturated and stunning. The Sure Do Love You Suite includes the Lots to Love Box dies which make lovely gift packaging with this heavy, luxurious paper.

Here’s another quick creation using the Painted With Love DSP.  This card highlights the versatility of the paper.  It features a repeating heart design on both the background paper and one of the banners.  Once again, I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. The heart die from Sunshine Wishes has been used on quite a few of the cards this week.  This is because I cut out a batch of these in different colors before starting the card designs. Doing this makes the design and card making process a lot faster. I have variety of pieces that are ready to go once I start creating.

This card really needed a sentiment. But nothing was quite right until I took a look through the main catalog and spied the Watercolor Words set.  The work “Love” in the watercolored script was just perfect!  I stamped it in Rich Razzleberry on a scrap of Powder Pink and then fussy cut it out. It was popped out on the die cut heart with a dimensional.  It really made the card!
