Sending More Hope With Delightful Dijon

May 6, 2017 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Sunshine Wishes, DELIGHTFUL DIJON, STAMPIN' UP!

Okay, so I am on a “thing” this week with Delightful Dijon! But the “thing” about going through retiring products is that you fall in love all over again!  I just couldn’t stop showing some love to Delightful Dijon one more time this week. I had such fun figuring out new designs with the Scenic Scenery DSP stack and this color!  I am sure you have a good stash of this paper in your craft room, so I encourage you to get it out and see what you can some up with.  It is a good way to stay busy this month until the new catalog goes live on June 1st!

You can’t wait for June 1st or you are tired of the retiring In Colors 2015-2017?  Well, Stampin’ Up is trying something new this year and offering customers a preview order for a special group of products for the Eastern Palace Suite. Check it out by clicking on the image below.

EASTERN PALACE, STAMPIN' UP

This new suite of products features some of the new In Colors for 2017-2019!  The stamp set, papers and coordinating items are all luxurious and opulent in design.  I know you will love it!

Until then, enjoy my tour of the retiring items!

Delightful Dijon And Hope

May 4, 2017 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Delightful Dijon was the color of the day for this card.  And the pink ribbon was just an afterthought.  With the sentiment “hope”, I thought why not use a pink ribbon?  I don’t think there are any hard and fast rules for what colors work with a pink ribbon and using Delightful Dijon as the main color only makes the pink ribbon stand out.  And when sending a card of hope, you want the message to stand out.

This card is part of my “tour of the retiring In Colors 2015-2017”.  Stampin’ Up! rotates a selection of 5 colors into the line for a 2 year run.  It is an easy way to add some new spark to the color line up and take advantage of the newest color trends.  I love the In Colors!  I find even if I don’t warm up to them at first, after a few project these colors become well-loved.  I have to admit I wasn’t crazy about Delightful Dijon when I first saw it.  But I am really going to miss it now.

The paper is from the Scenic Scenery DSP stack.  If you loved that, you will love the Wood Textures DSP stack in the catalog debuting in June 1st!  Watch the video below for more details! (click on the image to open the video)

In the Mix for #GDP085 Color Challenge!

May 2, 2017 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Perfect Mix, STAMPIN' UP!

I had to add an update to this post!  This card was a winner in the #GDP085 2015-2017 In Color Choose Your Fave! I am so excited I can’t believe it.  This card was a cutie, so I am glad it was worthy of winning.

It has been a while since I did a Global Design Project Challenge.  I check the e-mails and the page out every week. And my intentions are always good that I will play along with the challenge!  But somehow, life keeps getting in the way.  But this week is all about the retired In Colors and I just had to give it a go!  The color challenges are among my favorites! My thought was to find a sentiment that indicated something like “missing you” or some other appropriate words to say good-bye to well loved friends.  And I also had the challenge of getting as many In Colors in one card as I could.  Perfect mix was certainly the right set to express all that.  I could use all the In Colors except Cucumber Crush and the sentiment is exactly what I think about this selection of In Colors!

There are a lot of great ideas this week on this marvelous theme.  Check out what everyone is doing at the #GDP Color Challenge by clicking the icon below.

#GDP085, GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT, STAMPIN" UP!

I will be packing up my retired In Colors soon to send to a friend.  And believe me, it is a sad good-bye.  I will especially miss Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon! But these great colors will be in a good home and I will remember them well. And who knows, Stampin’ Up could always bring them back!  You never know.  And like life, you have old friends and new friends.  And the new friends in the 2017-2018 In Colors are fresh, trendy and fun to be around!  I can’t wait to get to know them!

But until then, I will be doing a short tour with some of the In Colors and give them the send off they deserve.  And to help, I will be using some retired stamps.  So, if you like them, you have a short time to make them yours.  Until May 31st in fact.  After that, these stamps go into the sunset of retirement!
