Very Simply Susan

This is another fast and easy card with the big, bold and beautiful See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper. This time I used Sweetly Swirled, which seems perfect with the waves of color in the card. It reminded me of all the colors in the Mediterranean Sea I was seeing from all the posts about the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip this year. And it also has a Grecian look about it(to me!) just from the swirls in the image.  So, it’s my Greece tribute card. How about that?

This was very simple to do. I layered the DSP with White on a Pacific Point card stock. Because I really felt like the pattern is very “oceany”, I added a few pearls.  The sentiment was simple enough to work. And I tied it all up with some white Baker’s Twine. Simple, done.

I designed it to be a Thank You card and so, the sentiment on the inside sort of reflected the outside of the card. Here is what it looked like:

That’s it! A simple, easy to make card with a big, bold design. So, get out some of that Pacific Point Card stock you have been wondering what to do with and make a few of these easy Thank You cards!

I have been eyeing my “See a Silhouette” Designer Series Paper for a while now. I love the bold designs and the vibrant colors. For me, they are the easy way to add an “artistic” look to cards very similar to what you would get with Stampin’ Up Pigment Sprinkles.  The papers are a variety of artistic designs just waiting for you to make into rich, beautiful cards. For this quick and simple card, I chose a bold pattern of the DSP and then matted it with a solid pattern, which creates a better interest than a solid piece of card stock. The sentiment was stamped using Well Wished and die cut using the Stitched Nested Label dies. Again, the solid color mat was DSP which helped to keep the overall artistic look. For big, rich designs with a truly artistic look, See a Silhouette is perfect!

Isn’t this just the cutest? I don’t usually buy juvenile sets, but the entire Dinoroar Suite is irresistible!  If you need a little cuteness for many occasions, then the Dino Days stamp set is for you. It’s really is “Rawr-some”!

For this card I stamped only the sentiment and the spine for the Dinosaur. The Dinosaurs are die cut from the DSP! Stampin’ Up! often does a Designer Paper which has the images matched to the dies. It makes an easy project!  And gives your card a really finished look.  From whimsical thank you cards to birthday cards to baby congrats, this set has it all.  And the nice thing? You will be laughing the whole time you are stamping!  Not that you don’t already do that.
