A Bonus Starts With Art!

July 2, 2019 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

It Starts With Art

This was a card done for a monthly Demonstrator Swap I do. Our theme this month was “Fancy Folds”. And what a fun challenge that was.  My “Fancy Fold” is pretty simple. I had gotten the idea from A Demonstrator Shoebox swap I did in June.  Is simply a 5.5″ X 11″ piece of card stock scored at 2″ and 6″ that you then fold to make an “envelope” that can be used for a note or a gift card. I decided the design I came up with using It Starts With Art was perfect for sending out notices of the Bonus Days event coming up.  So, I printed out an ad for that and made an enclosure for it. The “Bonus Card” has my website for ordering Stampin’ Up! and a Host Code for the month. It  shows off product and acts as a mailer! It Starts With Art

I love the “It Starts With Art” stamp set because it with another favorite, “Crafting Forever”.  And I love the DSP that matches the set. It gives you a lot of possibilities for cards, tags, gifts, samplers and more. And there is an embellishment kit that includes the felt pieces you see. And the embellishment kit comes in a beautiful box you can use for storage or a gift!  If you are a stamper or any kind of crafter, this is the set for you!  And see below, the “It Starts With Art” is available as a bundle! So with this, you are already well on your way to getting a $50 order and more discounts! Who doesn’t like that? Click on the image below to start shopping or learn more about this great promo.

Bonus Days Promotion 2019
That’s right! It’s Bonus Days again. For every $50 you order during the month of July on a single order, you will earn a $5.00 coupon you can use in August. It’s like a 10% bonus on your order! Pretty cool!

Free As A Bird And Pretty In Pink

June 27, 2019 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Free As A Bird

Aren’t these birds pretty?  With just a touch of pink using the Free As A Bird Stamp set, the birds are simple and delicate.  I did a bolder card a few weeks ago using really bright colors that you can see HERE!  But today, I wanted to use a much more subtle paper as the background and I thought that needed softly colored birds. So, I used the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends for the birds and just a touch of Petal Pink on the bird’s bellies and the flowers, keeping the colors very neutral and soft. Any boldness was from the Old Olive Rectangle and the leaves in the Bird Ballad DSP.

The ribbon was created by coloring the Silver Metallic Edged White Ribbon with a Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. How easy is that? If you have any white or light colored Stampin’ Up! ribbon, changing the color with a Stamping’ Blend is an easy trick! My favorite sentiment with this bird set is “a little note” from the Beauty Abounds stamp set. Perfect for bird stamps, right?  🙂 I used a die from the Lakeside dies to cut out the sentiment and frame it with color.

Sailing Home Is Such Fun To Stamp

June 25, 2019 Filed Under: Gallery, Project Gallery

Sailing Home

From what I have seen on Pinterest, the Sailing Home suite looks like the set everyone wants in the new catalog! Well, I love it too. This card was inspired by a Shoebox Swap card I did a few weeks ago. The swap card was designed by Judy Sumner at JudySumner.StampingUp.net. Because it was a Demonstrator Shoebox Swap, she kept it simple(workshop perfect) and used just Navy and a Pool Party layer embossed with the Subtle Textures Folder.

I wanted to try adding a little Crumb Cake and the Braided Linen Ribbon for a rustic look. I loved the original card design and this design paper is my favorite in the set. But,  I also wanted something that looked like it had rope on it. I always layer on too much, but  this time and inspired by Judy’s clean card, I managed to keep it simple and used only a knotted scrap of Braided Linen, a length of Braided Linen as a layer and a single Gold Metallic Pearl. The Metallic Pear seemed to look better than a charm. So I went with it! Judy’s idea of creating texture with the Subtle Textures Embossing folder was great, so I did that too. And that was it!  A great card with just a few supplies!
