Today’s card features a new stamp set from the fabulously frightening Monster Bash Suite in the 2019 Holiday Occasions catalog. Its called Spooktacular Bash and is a must have for all things spooky and fun this Halloween!

What I love most about the set are the coordinating Ornate Frames Dies. They aren’t just for Halloween! They have so many uses beyond that. I have already featured one of these on a Christmas card. The frames are much too gorgeous to use only for one season. Although as you can see above, they make very good framed pictures for a “haunted mansion” look!

This was a challenge card I did for a Demonstrator group I belong to. We set a monthly theme challenge and meet once a month for dinner and to exchange cards. We have a great time “talking shop” with each other.  And the challenge is a great exchange of ideas. This month the theme was, big surprise, Halloween!

Products Used For This Card

I shared a card a few days ago with the “photo real” side of the Feels Like Frost DSP. You can see that HERE. Today I wanted to share the silver foil side of this fabulous Designer Series Paper. I think both sides of the paper are just lovely and its going to cause us all a lot of angst figuring out which side to use!

Today’s card features the silver stripe on white paper. But wait! You say you don’t see a silver on white paper in the image above? That is true you don’t. I decided I wanted a really frosty blue design, so I took a Light Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends and colored in the white stripes on the paper. They are the non-metallic stripes and it was very easy to color them all in using a Blends. And the foil acts like a resist so you don’t have to worry about ink getting on them.

After that,  all I did was die cut one of the Frosted Frames dies in Silver Foil as a background for the sentiment. The paper for the stamped sentiment was cut from the “photo real” side of the Feels Like Frost DSP and stamped with the big bold sentiment from Frosted Foliage as well as the snowflakes. A few embellishments and I was done! Its a completely different look using the Feels Like Frost Suite of Products!

I thought I was going to wait a couple more weeks before I started showing some of the new Holiday Occasions catalog items, but when I opened up this Designer Series Paper, I had to make a card with it right away!  You are getting a sneak peek at the Come To Gather Suite of products in the Holiday Occasions catalog, which I am sure you have by now.

The Designer Series paper in this suite is also called Come to Gather and it is so much more gorgeous in person than the beautiful catalog photographs can show. The colors are luscious and right on trend with a mix of light and dark colors that will add pop to every card you make.

Today’s card combines Cajun Craze and Pretty Peacock against a bright plaid paper. The big leaf was stamped with Gather Together stamp set. And the Gather Leaves dies created the embossed leaves in the solid color. On the Crumb Cake background, I used the Swirly Frames stamp to frame in the design. And then a simple die cut of the sentiment. A very easy to make card with lots of pop!
