Amazing Life was a stamp set attendees were given at On Stage in November.  I love that it is one of those versatile sets with stamps for many occasions. And because I am a big believer you should never say no to birthday cake, I chose this stamp to use with the Piece of Cake bundle.

The sentiment worked perfectly in a framelit from the Stitched Labels die set.  And I thought the die helped create a ‘birthday cake look”. I have fallen in love with the Piece of Cake suite of products.  The stamps are just beautiful and you can use it for anniversaries, weddings and of course, birthdays!  I added a little flower embellishment topped with an enamel dot that was just enough decoration for the cake. The Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon just added more “frosting” to the look.  And of course, my new favorite, the Gingham Gala DSP provided the perfect backdrop for it all.

Here is a simple, quick get well card.  With the beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP and some layering, you have a really classic look that you can send to anyone who needs a little cheering up. I never seem to have a “ Get Well” card on hand when I need one, so I made several of these so I am sure to have one when I need it!

The pattern matching is easy with Stampin’ Up’s! DSP.  Each DSP pack is designed so all the paper patterns coordinate. You only have the fun of putting them together in card designs you like! I loved the polka dot pattern, so I made that layer a larger frame than normal to show it off. Combining the uncluttered dotted paper with the dense design in the top layer makes it work. Adding a bright contrast color with black makes the design pop.

I have to say of all the papers in the Spring Occasions catalog, I love the Gingham Gala paper the best. It is such a simple easy background.  The trick is to keep the entire card simple and let the gingham pattern stand out!  This is my take on #simplestamping !

Despite my love for lots of embellishments and die cuts, I was able to keep this simple. I had started out with a black with the Daffodil Delight  design, but it was kinda boring. So, I tried using Blueberry Bushel instead and I love the fresh look.

The narrow grosgrain ribbon added a little touch without too much clutter. And the 3 tiny die cut butterflies completed the look.  Simply done!
