I loved this month’s Paper Pumpkin the minute I started going through the beautiful plaid papers!  I am a little late getting started on this box, but I was was in desperate need of some holiday cards, fast!  Paper Pumpkin came to the rescue!  Sorta like that Fairy Godmother?

I decided to just be a rebel and not even look at the instructions. By just taking the items out of the box and adding an embellishment from my stash, this is the look I came up with. And I love it!  I loved it so much, I ran out of Paper Paper Pumpkin!  No problem! Usually I have lots of goodies left over from Paper Pumpkin and as always, the great thing is all the colors match back to Stampin’ Up! I already have on hand. I created a few more card designs to fill in for all the cards I needed and the new designs are shown below.  And there were plenty of the green pine bough dies cuts to make a lot more cards!

The card above is the first alternate I came up with after I ran out of the Paper Pumpkin cards and paper.  It uses the Festive Farmhouse DSP layered on Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow. The sentiment is stamped on the wood texture paper from the Festive Farmhouse DSP. I cut out a piece of vellum card stock with a 2 1/4″ Circle Punch when I ran  out of the Paper Pumpkin dies cuts. I also ran out of the All is Bright Paper Clips on the first batch, so I tried a few things and decided the Corrugated Heart Element worked the best.  Because this paper doesn’t have the lovely gold embossed details the Paper Pumpkin Plaid papers did, I added a couple of sprigs by punching some gold foil paper with the Spring Punch.  That with a few more of the Paper Pumpkin sequins was the perfect touch.

This paper from the Festive Farmhouse DSP has been one of my favorites.  And I had a to try a version using it.  The green pine bough die cuts from the Paper pumpkin set didn’t work for me.  This paper seems to need a very simple color scheme. So, I punched out some sprigs in Cherry Cobbler and Gold Foil Paper and that was just enough.  I still had plenty of sequins from the Paper Pumpkin kit for all these cards with some to spare!

This was my last design!  I just love the All Is Bright DSP!  And I wanted to try it with the Paper Pumpkin elements as I thought the die cuts would add an interesting dimension to the background paper.  And I do love how it turned out.  The wood texture banners were not going to work as well for this paper, so I used one of the extra gold embossed die cuts I had left over.  It was a perfect frame for the sentiment. A few gold sprigs added some more sparkle and a bow wrapped it all up!  What you can not see is the Wink of Stella Glitter I added to the Christmas lights and ornaments in the picture. It’s a very subtle sparkle that add a little something special to the card.  And I added a few more sequins from the Paper Pumpkin kit!  This was a Paper Pumpkin that just went on and on in terms of extra supplies! A bonus of Paper Pumpkin are the great stamps which are the same quality as the regular Stampin’ Up! photopolymer stamps.  And very often, all the extra supplies you end up with!
