Petal Garden Memories & More is a lovely new card pack  designed for memory keeping.  But these floral designs are so pretty you are going to want to use them for simple card making as well! I have been having a lot of fun with Memories & More used for card making.  You can see my last card designs using the Color Theory Memories & More HERE!

I love all the beautiful cards, designs, stickers and embellishments in each card pack. And when you need a quick card, tag or note, these are perfect!  For less than the cost of a pack of DSP, you get endless possibilities!  When I opened the Petal Garden pack, the papers you see in this card are what caught my eye.  And because I am more of a card maker than a memory keeper(scrapbooker), I am always looking for interesting ideas for cards.  These marvelous little packs of cards are like a box of treasure for card makers!  And because everything is perfectly coordinated to your other Stampin’ Up supplies and stamps, you will always be able to create something beautiful.

For this card, I layered the Memories & More cards with regular card stock. I also die cut the sentiment using a Stitched Framlit Square. I thought it gave the card more of a finishing touch to frame the sentiment this way. I also popped the sentiment using Dimensionals. A little ribbon and a scrap of doily finished the card! Today’s card is another little cutie from the Pick A Pattern DSP and Pieces & Patterns Stamp set.  I don’t usually like whimsical stamps, but I loved the Mushrooms I showed on Wednesday(You can see that HERE!) and I love, love, love these Dinosaurs!  They are whimsical and fun without looking too juvenile.  I would be fine with sending this card to anyone.

The bright look of the card was easy to follow using the colors in the DSP.  I layered an Emerald Envy plaid pattern on Crushed Curry.  Basic Black once again makes the perfect backdrop to pop all the colors.  In fact, I think this entire product suite works well with Basic Black as the base layer.  And adding black as a base layer makes the design a little more sophisticated than the usual cards you would make for a child.

A Stitched Shape circle framelit was the base for the stamped sentiment.  I cropped a really large border so I would have room for the Mastadon.  And how often do you have to worry about making room for your Mastadon when stamping? As I said, this suite of products is a lot of fun!

I  had a great time playing with Pieces & Patterns the last few days.  This set is unique for Stampin’ Up and I love the versatility of the artwork and sentiments.  And the matching DSP has choices in graphic, floral, whimsical and black & white patterns.  This DSP has some of the most versatile patterns I have ever found.  What I like about this entire suite is that it encourages you to think outside the box when designing cards.  And I like a good challenge!  Take a look at the beautiful images from this delightful suite of products.  The image below shows you how many looks you can create with this darling little stamp set. Today’s card uses the mushrooms from the DSP.  I love using mushroom motifs and these are really well done.  I love the simple graphic design and the touch of color. I used one of the graphic patterns from this DSP to play against the mushroom artwork and layered everything on black for a clean look that pops.  I love a bow but the Basic Black And Crushed Curry alone did not work. So, I tied them both together for a double bow that worked to finish the card.
